Gordy Young

I started my broadcast career back in 1978 at WNNO radio in Wisconsin Dells and after a few years worked at several radio and TV stations in Madison, Wisconsin. Around 1991, I transitioned from being a DJ to a full time TV weatherman at WMTV-NBC 15, doing mornings and weekends.
In 1994, I became a morning weather anchor at WNDU-TV, (NBC) in South Bend, Indiana, where I worked for 16 years. After that, I hosted a weekday show on the local PBS station, WNIT-TV until 2015.
After being in Indiana for 21 years, I accepted a position here at Magnum and moved back to my adopted home in Wisconsin to be closer to family, including my daughter Megan, grandson Morgan and granddaughter Leona, and sister Sue.
In my spare time, I enjoy biking, tennis, ping-pong and antiquing. I occasionally play blues guitar and will show up at some of the local open jams, just for fun.
I love being back in Wisconsin again, and reconnecting with old friends, and making new ones. There are so many wonderful things to see and do around our area!
I’m happy to be on-the-air doing mid-days at Country 104.9, WNFM where you can hear me from 10am-2pm, weekdays.
